Fresh Updates

Welcome!

to your new community tattoo artist 🙂

I’m Yasmine Bergner—a multidisciplinary artist, professional tattoo artist, and certified art therapist (MA). For over two decades, I’ve been working at the intersection of art, body, and psyche, developing a unique approach to tattooing that I call “Tattoo as Therapy”

This approach weaves together the desire for a tattoo with a meaningful process of personal growth. It’s how I work in my studio with clients—and how I train tattoo artists around the world.

For me, a tattoo is far more than body decoration. It’s a shared alliance. A process. A moment of deep listening in which a person encounters themselves through the act of creation. Every journey begins with attentive listening – to your story, your emotional needs, and the phase of life you’re in. From there, we move together into a collaborative creative process, where the tattoo becomes a living expression of identity, intention, meaning, healing, and growth.

Since 2009, I’ve been deeply engaged in trauma-informed tattoo work, understanding that many people who come into the studio carry complex and layered life experiences. I teach tattoo artists how to hold a safe and responsible space, how to work with clear boundaries, and how to translate emotions and experiences into a visual language – through symbols, forms, placement on the body, color & more.

At the heart of my work lies Sacred Geometry – a universal language of patterns that exists in nature, in the human body, and in the cosmos. Through it, I explore with the people I work with the connection between matter and spirit, intuition and logic, Between the personal story and the transpersonal reality. It is a language that helps us find order within chaos, connection within fragmentation, and meaning within pain – and to transform all of these into beauty, resilience, and inner strength.

Alongside this, I’ve spent years researching the history and anthropology of tattooing across cultures. I see contemporary tattooing as a direct continuation of ancient traditions – Rites of Passage, ways of marking identity and belonging.

Out of this work, I created my annual training program, “Tattoos as Therapy” designed for professional tattoo artists who want to deepen their practice and become masters of meaningful, client-centered creative processes.

The program integrates tools from art therapy, psychology, Nonviolent Communication (NVC), mindfulness, and trauma-informed work, alongside Sacred Geometry and the Jungian Hero’s Journey as frameworks for both creation and guidance.

I work with individuals and groups, and I believe the tattoo studio can be a space for healing, connection, and conscious creation – a place where healing imagination is restored, sovereignty is reclaimed, and a tattoo is created not only on the body, but far beyond it.

For me, the body is a living canvas, consciousness is a treasure, and art – especially shared creation – is the path. A path to meet ourselves, tell our story, and shape our reality with more connection, depth, and inter – connectedness.

I warmly invite you to schedule a free discovery call with me, to explore whether the training “Tattoos as Therapy” is right for you – and of course, to co-create with me a unique and beautiful tattoo that truly speaks from your soul, and to your soul.

With love,
Yasmine
